Feb 09, 2010 ... LAST WEEK - Friday, February 5 vs. Wichita CenturyTel Center L 4-2 - GAME NOTES: Rookie goaltender Scott Campbell stopped 38 shots as the Wichita Thunder knocked off the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs 4-2 Friday night at the CenturyTel Center. The loss ended the Mudbugs' five-game home winning streak and snapped a string of 13 straight regular season wins over the Thunder. Travis Clayton and Tyrel Lucas scored the goals for Bossier-Shreveport, who outshot Wichita 40-34 but were held off the scoreboard until the third period. John DeCaro made 30 saves, but saw his personal four-game win streak come to an end.


Feb 01, 2010 ... LAST WEEK: Tuesday, January 26 vs. Texas CenturyTel Center W 4-2 - GAME NOTES: The Mudbugs scored three straight goals in the second period to take a lead they would never relinquish in a 4-2 victory over the Texas Brahmas Tuesday night at the CenturyTel Center. Joe Blaznek scored twice in the game, while Travis Clayton and Brett Smith each chipped in two assists. Simon Mangos and David Rutherford also scored goals as the 'Bugs climbed above.500 on home ice for the first time this year at 9-8-0. John DeCaro made 28 saves to help Bossier-Shreveport beat Texas for the third time this year .

LAST WEEK: Wednesday, Jan. 20 vs. Rio Grande Valley CenturyTel Center W 7-0 - GAME NOTES : Tyrel Lucas scored twice, Brett Smith had a goal and two assists and Ken Carroll made 32 saves on the way to his second shutout of the season. The Mudbugs scored four goals in the second period to chase All-Star goalie Andy Franck from the net as Bossier-Shreveport enjoyed its biggest blowout of the season.


Jan 18, 2010 ... Wednesday, Jan. 13 The 2010 CHL All-Star Game: South Texas All-Stars 9, CHL All-Stars 4 - GAME NOTES: Goaltender Ken Carroll represented the Mudbugs in the 2010 CHL All-Star Game last week in Laredo, Texas. Carroll played the second period for the CHL All-Stars, making 13 saves on 16 shots. The South Texas All-Stars won the game 9-4 with Rio Grande Valley forward Sean Muncy (2g, 2a) taking home the MVP award for the winners. Odessa netminder Joel Martin was named MVP for the CHL All-Stars after stopping 27 of 28 shots in the first period.


Jan 11, 2010 ... Tuesday, January 5 at Missouri Independence Events Center L 4-3 (SO) - GAME NOTES: The Mudbugs made their first ever visit to Independence, Missouri to face the Mavericks for the second straight game on Tuesday night. The teams traded goals through two periods before David Rutherford scored an amazing third period goal to give the 'Bugs the lead.

Wednesday, December 30 at Texas NyTex Sports Centre W 4-3 (SO) - GAME NOTES : Trailing the Brahmas 3-1 after two periods Wednesday night in Texas, the Mudbugs mounted an impressive third period comeback against their rivals to win 4-3 in a shootout. Jeff Kyrzakos scored midway through the third and then Travis Clayton tied the game with only 49 seconds left in regulation to force overtime before the 'Bugs outscored Texas 2-1 in the shootout, with Mark Johnson netting the clinching goal.


Dec 28, 2009 ... Saturday, December 26 vs. Mississippi CenturyTel Center L 3-1 - GAME NOTES : The Mudbugs couldn't shake off the rust from five days off in time to get a win Saturday night, falling 3-1 to the RiverKings. Joe Ori scored the lone goal for Bossier-Shreveport, who tied the game in the second period before Derek Landmesser's goal late in the second put the 'Kings on top to stay as Mississippi snapped the 'Bugs six-game win streak.

Friday, December 18 at Wichita Kansas Coliseum W 6-2 - GAME NOTES : Bossier-Shreveport took control early in this one, scoring three goals on 16 shots in the first period to build a 3-0 lead. Wichita outscored them 2-1 in the second period, but the Mudbugs sealed the win with two more tallies in the third. Brett Smith finished with three assists and Simon Mangos had a goal and an assist in the 6-2 victory.

The 'Bugs six goals and three powerplay goals were season highs, while Ken Carroll backstopped the 6-0 win with 43 saves


Nov 30, 2009 ... Wednesday, November 25 at Rio Grande Valley Dodge Arena L 5-3 - GAME NOTES: The Mudbugs outshot Rio Grande Valley 50-26 Wednesday night at the Dodge Arena, but the Killer Bees still held on for a 5-3 victory that snapped Bossier-Shreveport's three-game winning streak.


Nov 23, 2009 ... Thursday, November 19 vs. Mississippi CenturyTel Center W 3-1 - GAME NOTES: The Mudbugs jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the RiverKings by the mid-way point of the second period thanks to goals from Mark Johnson and Travis Clayton.


Nov 16, 2009 ... Friday, November 13 at Mississippi DeSoto Civic Center L 4-1 - GAME NOTES: The Mudbugs lost on the road for the first time this season Friday night in Mississippi. The RiverKings went up 2-0 with a pair of first-period powerplay goals and built the lead to 3-0 heading into the third period. Matt Cook scored the 'Bugs only goal as they finished 0 for 6 on the powerplay in a 4-1 defeat.


Nov 09, 2009 ... Friday, November 6 vs. Odessa CenturyTel Center L 4-1 - GAME NOTES: All four Odessa goals came on the powerplay as the Jackalopes broke an 11-game losing streak to the Mudbugs with a 4-1 victory on Friday night. Joe Zappala scored the lone Mudbugs goal as the team dropped to 0-4 at home this season. The Jackalopes finished 4 for 9 on the powerplay, while the 'Bugs were 0 for 4.


Nov 02, 2009 ... Friday, October 30 vs. Texas CenturyTel Center L 6-4 - GAME NOTES: The Brahmas scored two goals in a 35-second span of the third period to break open a tie game and win the first meeting of the year between these two rivals.


Oct 26, 2009 ... Friday, October 23 vs. Allen CenturyTel Center L 2-1 - GAME NOTES : The Mudbugs and Americans met for the first time ever on Friday night in a tight game that was decided entirely on special teams. Joe Blaznek's powerplay goal early in the second period put Bossier-Shreveport on top, but Allen countered with a 5-on-3 powerplay goal later in the period and then got the game-winner from Nathan O'Nabigon in the third, also on the man-advantage. The teams combined for 16 powerplays and 75 shots on goal in the contest.
