There are sticks and gloves, two blue lines, a red line and a couple of goals. However, the aspect of hockey many find the trickiest to conquer is missing. The ice. Hockey fans who've always wanted to play the game, but can't skate, don't have access to ice or a pair of blades now have their chance.
Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs coach Scott Muscutt has helped bring the game to the people in the form of ball hockey. Leagues catering to all ages are scrimmaging at House of Wheels in Bossier City on Tuesday and Thursday nights with official play set to begin July 27. Registration is Tuesday.
