It all comes down to tonight.

After dropping Game 6 of the Central Hockey League’s Northern Conference finals 2-0 to Bossier-Shreveport, the Rapid City Rush now face a do-or-die Game 7 tonight at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena.

Playoff hockey is all about remaining focused after a win, but more importantly after a loss, and not letting those emotions dictate the next game or series.

Posted by: Sabrbug on Apr 21, 2010
Game Reviews
When a playoff series goes the distance, the nerves, butterflies and just about every other source of anxious energy all leap to the surface.

Whether a player has been in the pros for two years or 12, those jittery feelings are hard to keep in check. And in a matchup this competitive, it’s hard to find a source of separation.

Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs coach Scott Muscutt didn’t mince words Friday. He said Game 4’s rout of Rapid City would mean absolutely nothing in Game 5. He was right.

The series moves back to South Dakota for Game 6 on Tuesday. The Mudbugs now are in must-win mode or their season is over.
